38 days.....

Yesterday ended with me making some bad choices, but as I pulled off the day on my calendar I recognise that today is a new day to make better choices & I have 38 days to go before Canada.

Day 3:

It's hot today - very hot!! At lunchtime my car said it was 32 degrees, & while I doubt that - its def in the high 20's.


The heat affects my appetite & I had to force myself to eat my lunch. Not sure I'll be able to eat dinner later, but I'll cross that bridge.  I also note that I need to up my fluids dramatically - I've only drank about a litre or less in work from 9 - 1pm

I managed to drink another litre of water after lunch.

Did 150 squats this evening - more than half way through my 30 day challenge!!



39 Days to go......

I probably should have mentioned in my first post that I plan on eating 1200 calls for 3 days & then a high cal on day 4. On the. Plus side I only went over my calorie allowance by 57 & I did manage to burn over 600 cals from my 1hr 40 min cycle. On the negative side I did go waaaay over on my carb allowance & didn't eat enough protein or fats.

I also went out for a drink ( yes 1 drink!!) with a friend that I hadn't seen in a while. Great night especially since we went to see her cousin play in his band.


Day 2:

So I took my measurements this morning, which I track on myfitnesspal:

Neck: 12.5"
Waist: 29.5"
Navel: 36.75"
Hips: 37.75"
Thigh right: 24.25
Thigh left: 23.75"
Arm right: 14"
Arm left: 13.75"

40 Days left.......

So this is another weight loss blog  in the blog universe....one that I am seriously hoping will keep me accountable!!

So first off, what's happening in 40 days?? In 40 days, the 15th August I fly out to a wedding in Canada.  And in addition, I have 2 immediate family wedding in October & December, but rather than biting off more than i can chew, I'm gonna  take it 1 step at a time & focus on the wedding in Canada.

So no time like the present.



Day 1:

I took my weight at the Boots pharmacy scale, which also give body fat. I recognise that to get an accurate reading I should use calipers, but it will give me a good guesstimate.

Weight: 149lbs / 10st 9lbs / 67.6kg
Height: 5' 3.7" / 1.62cm ( it seems I've grown!!)
BMI: 25.8
Body fat: 31.3%

I will take measurements tomorrow morning & post them then.

I'm currently on day 16 of a 30 day squat challenge....so that meant 130 squats today!


Also did a 32km cycle in 100 minutes - all in perpetration for a cycle around the Ring of Kerry next Saturday!!!
